Sweet Potatoes:
- 5–6 medium sweet potatoes, peeled & cut into thin medallions
Sauce:
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Toppings:
- ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- ½ cup mini marshmallows
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Prepare Sweet Potatoes: Peel and cut sweet potatoes into thin medallions. Arrange in a baking dish.
- Make Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, water, spices, and salt. Brush ¾ of the sauce over sweet potatoes. Bake covered for 45-50 minutes.
