Creamy and delicious, this California Avocado Hummus is a unique twist on the classic hummus recipe. With the addition of ripe avocados, this dip is packed with flavor and healthy fats. Perfect for snacking or as a party appetizer!

Ripe Avocado Blend:

  • 2 ripe, Fresh California Avocados*, peeled and seeded
  • 1 (15-oz. can) garbanzo beans (chickpeas), rinsed and drained
  • 1 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. avocado or extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, or to taste

For Garnish:

  • Additional avocado or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Dice Avocado: Dice half the avocado and set aside.
  2. Mash Ingredients: Mash remaining avocado, garbanzo beans, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt together until smooth. You can also puree in a blender or food processor.
  3. Combine: Gently stir diced avocado into the hummus mixture.
  4. Drizzle and Serve: Drizzle with avocado or olive oil if desired, then serve.
