Eggs

  • 3 large, room temperature

All-Purpose Flour

  • 1/2 cup

Granulated Sugar

  • 1/2 cup, plus 2 tablespoons for topping

Whole Milk

  • 1 cup (or half and half)

Vanilla Extract

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons

Almond Extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon

Salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon

Powdered Sugar

  • For dusting on top

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 350 degrees F and generously butter a 9 or 10-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare Cherries: Arrange cherries in the baking dish.
  3. Make Batter: In a blender, combine eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, flour, extracts, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour Batter: Pour the batter over the cherries and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  5. Bake: Bake for 35-45 minutes until the custard is set.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  7. Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
