  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp. black pepper

For the Pasta:

  • 1 lb. pasta of choice (such as bucatini, spaghetti, pappardelle, or fettuccine)
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped yellow onion
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon zest plus 3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Combine chicken with olive oil, lemon zest, and spices. Cook in a skillet until golden.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Boil water, cook pasta until almost al dente. Reserve pasta water.
  3. Make the Sauce: Cook onion, garlic, cream, broth, salt, and pepper. Add parsley, Parmesan, lemon zest, and juice.
  4. Combine: Add pasta to sauce, toss to coat. Add chicken. Garnish and serve.
