Donkey Balls are delicious meatballs made with a flavorful blend of ground beef, cheddar cheese, and savory seasonings. These juicy meatballs are perfect as a party appetizer or a flavorful main dish.

Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey, if preferred)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste

Glaze (optional):

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, green bell pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, black pepper, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form Meatballs: Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Add Glaze: Optionally, mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce for a glaze. Brush over meatballs during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the Donkey Balls rest for a few minutes after baking. Serve warm with dipping sauce of choice.
