  • Zest and juice of 1 medium orange (about ¼ cup)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Pinch coarse salt

Turkey Breast:

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • Sprigs fresh rosemary and/or thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Prepare the Cranberry Orange Glaze: In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, orange zest, orange juice, sugar, and salt. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst. Smash with a fork into a chunky sauce.
  3. Sear the Turkey: Season turkey breast with salt and pepper. Sear in hot oil in a Dutch oven until golden brown.
  4. Add Cranberry Sauce: Spread half of the cranberry sauce over the turkey breast. Add rosemary and/or thyme.
  5. Roast: Cover with lid and roast for 15 minutes. Spoon remaining cranberry sauce over turkey and roast uncovered for another 10-15 minutes.
  6. Rest and Slice: Let turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve: Arrange turkey slices on a platter, drizzle with pan sauce, and discard herb sprigs.

Notes

  • Make sure to check the internal temperature of the turkey to ensure it reaches 160 degrees F for safe consumption.
