Crispy, flaky phyllo crackers seasoned with delicious everything bagel seasoning for a perfect snack or appetizer. These light and crunchy treats are easy to make and ideal for serving with dips or cheese.

Phyllo Dough Layering

  • 10 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten

Seasoning

  • 3 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cut two sheets of parchment paper to fit your baking sheet.
  2. Layer Phyllo Dough: Place one sheet of parchment on a flat work surface, then gently lay one sheet of phyllo dough on top. Brush lightly with melted butter, covering it up to the edges without tearing the fragile sheet. Place another phyllo sheet on top, press down gently to remove air pockets, and brush with butter again. Repeat this layering and brushing process three more times to create a stack of five layers.
  3. Apply Egg White and Seasoning: On the 5th phyllo layer, brush lightly with beaten egg white instead of butter to help the seasoning stick. Evenly sprinkle half of the everything bagel seasoning over the top layer.
  4. Cut the Crackers: Using a pizza cutter, carefully cut the layered phyllo dough into 40 squares or any shape you prefer. Transfer the whole parchment sheet with the cut phyllo onto the baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake the crackers in the preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until they are lightly browned and crispy. Watch them closely to prevent burning as they brown quickly.
  6. Cool and Repeat: Remove the baking sheet, take off the parchment, and allow the crackers to cool completely. Repeat the entire layering, brushing, seasoning, cutting, and baking process with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Serve or Store: Serve the phyllo crackers immediately for best crispness, or store them at room temperature in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
