Fresh Strawberry Iced Tea Recipe

Black Tea Base:
- 12 black tea bags (I used Lipton)
- 4 cups boiling water
Sweet Strawberry Puree:
- 3 cups sliced/hulled fresh strawberries
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water (divided)
Garnish:
- Fresh strawberry slices and/or mint leaves (optional)
- Prepare Tea Base: Remove tea bags from box and tie together. Boil 4 cups of water, steep tea bags for 5 minutes, then remove.
- Sweeten Tea: Stir in sugar until dissolved.
- Make Strawberry Puree: Blend strawberries and 1 cup water, strain out pulp.
- Combine Ingredients: Pour strawberry liquid into a pitcher, add brewed tea and remaining cold water. Stir well.
- Serve: Allow to cool, then pour over ice. Garnish with strawberries and mint. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the tea.
- For a stronger strawberry flavor, blend additional strawberries into the puree.
