½ cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated)

Butter:

Chicken Broth:

2 cups

Milk:

1 cup

Angel Hair Pasta:

8 oz.

Fresh Parsley:

to garnish

Instructions

  1. Note: Angel hair cooks very quickly. Refer to the time on the package and set a timer to avoid overcooking it in the sauce in step 6, as overcooked noodles become clumpy.
  2. Grate the Parmesan cheese: Set it aside to allow it to get to room temperature.
  3. Melt butter: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in a large skillet.
  4. Add garlic: Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add liquids: Add the chicken broth and optional seasoning mix. Slowly add the milk, stirring as you do so. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add pasta: Add the pasta noodles. You can break them in half for a better fit, or allow them to heat and use kitchen tongs to twist them into the skillet as they soften.
  7. Simmer pasta: Let the pasta simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the noodles don’t stick together. Reduce heat to low.
  8. Add butter: Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the warm pasta and toss to coat.
  9. Add Parmesan: Gradually sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese, stirring as you do so, until smooth and well-combined.
  10. Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with Garlic Bread with Cheese!

Notes

  • For a twist, try adding cooked chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic and Parmesan to suit your taste preferences.
