Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 3½ cups seedless red grapes
  • 3½ cups seedless green grapes

Dressing

  • 4 ounce (½ 8-oz package) cream cheese, softened
  • 1¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (about ½ of one small lemon)

Toppings

  • 1¼ cups walnuts, chopped and divided
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry grapes: Place the red and green seedless grapes into a strainer and wash thoroughly under running water. Pat the grapes completely dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Prepare the creamy dressing: In a large serving bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, plain Greek yogurt, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it becomes smooth and fully combined with no lumps remaining.
  3. Coat the grapes: Gently fold the washed grapes into the creamy mixture, stirring carefully to ensure each grape is evenly coated without crushing them.
  4. Add walnuts to the mixture: Fold in 1 cup of the chopped walnuts into the grape and cream cheese mixture, distributing them evenly throughout.
  5. Chill the salad: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour, or for best flavor and texture, refrigerate overnight.
  6. Add final toppings and serve: Just before serving, sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup chopped walnuts and light brown sugar evenly over the top of the salad. Serve chilled for optimal taste.

Notes

  • Ensure grapes are completely dry before mixing to avoid a watery salad.
  • For added texture, substitute walnuts with pecans or almonds if preferred.
  • This salad is best served cold and can be prepared a day in advance.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar to taste.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for creamier consistency, or low-fat options for a lighter version.
