Scale

Ingredients

  • 110 oz. bag mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 5 1/2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios (gluten free)
  • Rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat Marshmallows and Butter: Place the mini marshmallows and butter together in an extra-large, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until the marshmallows start to expand and puff up.
  2. Mix Coating: Stir the melted marshmallows and butter until fully combined. Add the Honey Nut Cheerios to the mixture and gently fold until all the Cheerios are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  3. Spread in Pan: Line a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with wax paper. Evenly spread the coated Cheerio mixture into the pan, pressing it down gently for an even layer. Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top if desired to add color and texture.
  4. Set and Serve: Refrigerate the treats for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy your delicious Honey Nut Cheerio Treats!

Notes

  • You can substitute regular Cheerios if Honey Nut Cheerios are not available.
  • For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter or margarine.
  • Feel free to add nuts or dried fruit for extra texture and flavor.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerated for up to a week.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the pan to help the treats hold together better.
