Ingredients

Scale

Honeydew Lemonade Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ripe honeydew melon (about 1/2 medium melon)
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of your choice, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honeydew: Peel the honeydew melon and cut it into cubes, removing all seeds. This ensures a smooth puree without any bitterness.
  2. Puree the Melon: Place the honeydew cubes into a blender and blend until smooth, creating about 2 cups of honeydew puree.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Pour the honeydew puree into a pitcher. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and water, stirring well to combine all the flavors.
  4. Sweeten if Needed: Taste the lemonade and add 1-2 tablespoons of honey or your preferred sweetener if the honeydew is not sweet enough on its own.
  5. Strain (Optional): For a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp before serving.
  6. Serve: Pour the honeydew lemonade over ice in glasses and enjoy immediately for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use very ripe honeydew melon for natural sweetness, reducing the need for added sweeteners.
  • Adjust sweetness to your liking by varying the amount of honey or sweetener.
  • Straining is optional but recommended for a smoother drink.
  • This lemonade is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • For a sparkling version, substitute the water with sparkling water just before serving.
