Pasta:
- 3/4 lb fettuccine or penne pasta
Shrimp:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 Tbsp oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- A pinch of paprika
Sauce:
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/3 cup white wine (such as Chardonnay)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta until al dente, then drain without rinsing.
