4.5 from 92 reviews

Snicker Salad is a delightful and indulgent dessert salad combining crunchy Granny Smith apples, creamy vanilla pudding, fluffy whipped topping, and sweet chunks of Snickers bars. This no-cook dish comes together quickly and delivers a fun mix of textures and flavors, perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, or an easy treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Pudding Mixture

  • 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding packet (dry)
  • ¾ cup milk

Salad Ingredients

  • 8 oz container of whipped topping (thawed)
  • 6 medium Granny Smith apples, washed, cored, and diced into bite-size pieces
  • 6 full-size Snickers bars, diced into bite-size pieces

Garnish

  • Caramel sauce (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Pudding Base: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry instant vanilla pudding packet with ¾ cup of milk until the mixture is smooth and no lumps remain.
  2. Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until just combined, taking care not to overmix to maintain a light texture.
  3. Add Apples and Snickers: Reserve a few diced apple pieces and Snickers chunks for garnish. Mix the remaining diced apples and Snickers pieces into the pudding mixture until evenly distributed.
  4. Chill Salad: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salad until it is well chilled, ideally for at least 1 hour, to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Serve and Garnish: Before serving, drizzle the salad with caramel sauce if desired and top with the reserved apple and Snickers pieces for a decorative touch. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use Granny Smith apples for a tart contrast to the sweet pudding and candy.
  • Make sure the whipped topping is fully thawed for easy folding.
  • For best taste, chill the salad for at least one hour before serving.
  • Caramel sauce is optional but adds an extra layer of sweetness and richness.
  • This salad is best served fresh but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  • For a lighter version, try using light or reduced-fat pudding and whipped topping products.
