  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bay leaf

For Serving:

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Sauté Aromatics: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
  3. Transfer to Slow Cooker: Place cooked beef in a slow cooker.
  4. Add Ingredients: Combine crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf in the slow cooker.
  5. Cook in Slow Cooker: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Cook Spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
  7. Serve: Remove bay leaf from sauce, serve Bolognese over spaghetti, and top with Parmesan cheese.
