Dumplings
- 1 packet Buldak HOT Chicken Flavour Ramen noodles
- 6 sheets rice paper
- 2 slices Emmental cheese, cut into 6 small pieces
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp vegetable oil (for frying)
Dipping Sauce
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- Leftover chopped spring onions (from the 2 spring onions)
- Cook Noodles: Prepare the Buldak HOT Chicken Ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Soften Rice Paper: Pour warm water onto a plate and soak one rice paper sheet for about 30 seconds until softened and pliable.
- Assemble Dumplings: Lay the softened rice paper flat on a clean surface. Add about a tablespoon of cooked noodles to the center, top with one piece of Emmental cheese and some finely chopped spring onions.
- Wrap Dumplings: Carefully fold the rice paper around the filling to form a parcel, sealing the edges. Place the wrapped dumpling onto a lightly oiled plate to prevent sticking.
- Repeat Assembly: Repeat the soaking and assembling process for all 6 dumplings, reserving some chopped spring onions for the dipping sauce.
- Fry Dumplings: Heat 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Place dumplings in the pan and fry for approximately 4 minutes on each side, or until the rice paper is crispy and golden brown.
- Prepare Dipping Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the reserved chopped spring onions to create a flavorful dipping sauce.
- Serve and Enjoy: Plate the crispy ramen dumplings alongside the spring onion mayonnaise and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Use caution when frying to avoid burning the delicate rice paper. Moderate heat works best.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of spring onion in the filling and sauce to your taste.
- If you want a milder dish, consider using a less spicy ramen variety.
- Rice paper dumplings are best enjoyed fresh to maintain crispiness.
- Vegetarian adaptation: Substitute chicken-flavored ramen with vegetable-flavored ramen and use a vegetarian cheese alternative.
