Instructions

  1. Rinse the Sushi Rice: Using a fine mesh sieve, thoroughly rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
  2. Cook the Rice: Cook the rinsed rice according to the package instructions, typically about 20 minutes, until tender.
  3. Season the Rice: While the rice is still warm, sprinkle the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt over it. Use a rice paddle or spatula to gently fold and combine without crushing the grains. Set aside.
  4. Prepare the Salmon: Rub the salmon fillets with soy sauce for seasoning.
