Ingredients

Scale

Cauliflower

  • 1 Large Head Cauliflower (cut into bite-sized florets)
  • Cooking Oil Spray
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Sauce

  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • 2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • ¼ Cup Low sodium soy sauce or coconut amino
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Gluten-free flour or cornstarch

Toppings

  • 1 tablespoon Green Onions (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare Cauliflower: Arrange the cauliflower florets in a single layer on the prepared tray. Spray them lightly with cooking oil spray, then sprinkle with garlic salt, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss well with your hands to ensure even coating.
  3. Bake Cauliflower: Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges of the cauliflower start to brown and get crispy.
  4. Make Sauce: While the cauliflower bakes, combine honey, minced garlic, low sodium soy sauce or coconut amino, Sriracha, hoisin sauce, and gluten-free flour or cornstarch in a small saucepan. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well incorporated.
  5. Thicken Sauce: Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir frequently for 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens to a glaze-like consistency.
  6. Cool Cauliflower: Remove the cauliflower from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes to avoid wilting the sauce and toppings.
  7. Toss with Sauce and Garnish: Pour the thickened sauce over the baked cauliflower and toss until fully coated. Sprinkle sliced green onions and sesame seeds on top before serving. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of Sriracha or add chili flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute hoisin sauce with a gluten-free alternative if needed.
  • Cauliflower can be roasted ahead of time and tossed with sauce just before serving for convenience.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Adjust salt according to the saltiness of your soy sauce or coconut aminos to avoid oversalting.
