  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature

For the Chocolate Filling:

  • 12 ounces pure semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (certified)
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (dairy)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (dairy)
  • 2 teaspoons pure alcohol-free vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Ganache Frosting:

  • 16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preparing the Cake Layers: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease three 9-inch cake pans and line with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add sugar and whisk to combine.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, oil, vanilla, and buttermilk until smooth.
