These adorable Turkey Pretzels are a fun and festive treat perfect for Thanksgiving celebrations. Combining salty mini pretzels with creamy Rolo candies and colorful candy decorations, they are easy to assemble and delightfully cute, making them ideal for kids and holiday parties.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 12 mini pretzels
  • 12 Rolo candies, unwrapped

Decorations

  • 36 candy corn pieces (3 per turkey)
  • 24 candy eyes (2 per turkey)
  • 12 yellow or orange Reese’s Pieces (1 per turkey)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 250º F to prepare for softening the chocolate on the Rolos.
  2. Arrange Pretzels: Lay out the 12 mini pretzels on a baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
  3. Warm Rolo Candies: Place the baking sheet with pretzels in the oven for about 2 minutes, just until the chocolate on the Rolos becomes shiny and soft but not fully melted; this makes them easier to attach decorations.
  4. Add Candy Corn Feathers: Immediately after removing from the oven, stick 3 candy corn pieces into the top of each Rolo candy to form turkey feathers.
  5. Attach Eyes: Place two candy eyes at the top center of each Rolo candy to create the turkey’s eyes.
  6. Add Beak: Position one yellow or orange Reese’s Pieces candy between the eyes to serve as the turkey’s beak.
  7. Set in Fridge: Place the assembled turkey pretzels in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and the decorations to set securely.
  8. Serve or Store: Remove from the fridge and enjoy immediately, or store the turkey pretzels in an airtight container to keep fresh.

Notes

  • Make sure the oven temperature is not too high, as you only want to soften the chocolate, not melt it completely.
  • You can substitute candy eyes with edible markers or icing if preferred.
  • These treats are best consumed within a few days for optimal freshness.
  • If you don’t have candy corn, other small colorful candies can be used as feathers.
  • Keep the assembled pretzels refrigerated if you are not serving them immediately to maintain their shape.
