4.4 from 61 reviews

A simple and delicious treat combining the crunch of popcorn with the creamy sweetness of melted white chocolate. Perfect for movie nights or a sweet snack everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Popcorn

  • 810 cups popped popcorn

White Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Prep the baking sheet: Lay down a piece of wax paper onto a baking sheet to prepare a surface for the coated popcorn to set.
  2. Melt the white chocolate: Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute, then stir. If chocolate is not fully melted, microwave an additional 15 seconds and stir until smooth.
  3. Coat the popcorn: In a large bowl, combine the popped popcorn with the melted white chocolate wafers. Stir gently but thoroughly until all the popcorn is evenly coated with the white chocolate mixture. Spread the coated popcorn onto the prepared wax paper in an even layer. Optionally, add sprinkles or candies on top while still wet for decoration.
  4. Set the popcorn: Let the coated popcorn rest at room temperature until the white chocolate hardens. Alternatively, place the popcorn in the refrigerator to speed up the setting process. Once hardened, break into desired-sized pieces for serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate melting wafers for the best melting and coating results.
  • You can substitute with white chocolate chips, but melting wafers tend to melt more smoothly.
  • Add sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or chocolate chips on top before the coating sets to add extra flavors and colors.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep the popcorn fresh and crisp.
