Ingredients

Scale

Rolls and Cheese

  • 1 package of King’s Hawaiian Savory Butter Rolls (12 rolls)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Mozzarella string cheese, 1 stick per two rolls (6 sticks total)

Butter Mixture

  • 1 stick of butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 3 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it is fully heated and ready for baking the rolls.
  2. Prepare rolls: Place the package of King’s Hawaiian Savory Butter Rolls into a greased baking dish. Carefully cut two slits in the top of each roll, making sure not to slice through the bottom.
  3. Insert cheese: Cut the mozzarella string cheese sticks into four pieces each. Insert one piece of mozzarella string cheese into each slit of the rolls for a cheesy center.
  4. Prepare butter mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, and shredded parmesan cheese. Stir the mixture well to fully combine all ingredients.
  5. Brush rolls with butter mixture: Using a pastry brush, coat the entire top of each roll generously with the garlic parmesan butter mixture. Then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the tops of the rolls for an extra cheesy crust.
  6. Bake rolls: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese has melted and formed a lightly browned, bubbly topping.

Notes

  • You can use different types of cheese for variety, such as cheddar or provolone.
  • Make sure not to cut through the bottom of the rolls to keep the cheese inside during baking.
  • Brush the rolls generously with butter mixture for the best flavor and a golden crust.
  • Serve warm for the gooey cheese effect.
  • These rolls are perfect as a side dish for pasta, soups, or grilled meats.
