This refreshing Green & Red Grape Sorbet combines the natural sweetness and vibrant flavors of cotton candy green muscat grapes and red raisin grapes, blended with light agave syrup, lemon juice, and concord grape concentrate. It’s a naturally fruity and dairy-free frozen treat perfect for warm days or as a palate cleanser.

Ingredients

Scale

Green Grape Sorbet

  • 1 lb. cotton candy or green muscat grapes (about 3 1/2 cups)
  • 2 tbsp. (or more) light agave syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Red Grape Sorbet

  • 1 lb. red raisin grapes (about 3 1/2 cups)
  • 1/3 cup 100% concord grape juice concentrate, thawed

Instructions

  1. Freeze the grapes: Wash and rinse the green muscat and red raisin grapes thoroughly, then remove all stems. Spread the green grapes on one parchment-lined baking sheet and the red grapes on another. Make sure the trays are small enough to fit inside your freezer. Freeze the grapes for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, to ensure they are fully frozen.
  2. Prepare the green grape sorbet: Transfer the frozen green grapes into a food processor. Keep the red grapes frozen for later use. Add the light agave syrup and 1/4 cup of water to the food processor. Pulse the mixture for about 30 seconds until fairly smooth. Scrape down the sides of the processor bowl, taste, and add more agave syrup if desired for additional sweetness. Add the fresh lemon juice and pulse for another 30 seconds until the sorbet is completely smooth. Transfer this green grape sorbet to a medium bowl.
  3. Prepare the red grape sorbet: Clean and dry the food processor bowl. Add the frozen red grapes along with the thawed concord grape juice concentrate. Pulse for about 30 seconds until mostly smooth. Scrape down the sides and pulse again for another 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Serve the sorbets: You can serve the sorbets immediately for a soft-serve texture. For a firmer, more traditional sorbet consistency, divide each sorbet into separate freezer-safe containers and freeze for at least 3 more hours before scooping and serving.
  5. Make ahead and storage: These grape sorbets can be made up to 30 days in advance. Keep them tightly covered and frozen until ready to serve for best quality.

Notes

  • The sweetness can be adjusted by adding more agave syrup according to your taste preference.
  • Using parchment-lined baking sheets prevents the grapes from sticking when frozen.
  • The lemon juice enhances the brightness and balances the sweetness of the sorbet.
  • For best texture, pulse just enough to reach smoothness without over-processing to avoid warming the fruit.
  • These sorbets are dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
